SNAKE DANCE
2016 New York
Performed in an empty house in Crown Heights, Brooklyn
Duration: approximately 20 minutes
16 participants and 1 deejay-conductor. The work is divided into 3 acts, called dances; each dance is 5‑minutes long with a 1‑minute interval in between. It takes place within a constructed arena fit exactly to the dimensions of the room. Participants, confined to their individual slots for the duration of the work, fraternize in varying combinations with all possible contiguous-neighbors from across their shared boundaries.
